Sicamous Spring Fling trade show coming soon.

The 5th Annual Sicamous Spring Fling Trade Show has come to be a herald of spring in the Shuswap and this year it will be held at the Sicamous and District Recreation Centre on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st.The show opens at 4pm on Friday and closes at 9pm. Saturday will start with a pancake breakfast at 9am and continue till 4pm.

This year we will be seeing the return of many of the vendors from previous shows and will also be welcoming a host of new ones. The event provides an opportunity for artists, artisans, specialty food producers, antique and collectible dealers, entrepreneurs and owners of every conceivable home-based business to showcase their products for sale to the public.

The show was such a success last year that the organizers have suggested to all previous vendors that they have their registrations in early to be guaranteed a spot. Closing date for registrations is April 15th. Placement priority will be on a first-come-first-served basis, keeping product in mind.

Public admission is FREE! This year the proceeds from door prize donations will be in aid of Smart CL(Sicamous Malakwa Adult Resource Training – Community Living). This is a local, registered charity that provides assistance to special needs students who are finishing high school and also their families, with the challenges of achieving independence through rewarding and productive employment in their communities. Funding for training, assessment and job coaching, information about resources, are some of the many services the organization provides.
