New Sears store in Chase, major items now stocked locally

A brand new Sears Hometown store celebrated its official opening in Chase on September 16, 2010. A perfect fit for local consumers, the new 2,500 sq. ft. store is locally owned and operated by Chase resident Bill Long.

Shoppers will now have the convenience of being able to select from a wide variety of on-site major appliances, hardware, furniture, electronics and seasonal items — including Sears’ Kenmore and Craftsman brands.

All merchandise sold has Sears’ satisfaction guarantee, the benefit of Sears Parts and Service Division, and the availability of Sears and third party credit card acceptance. Purchases made through the Hometown store will be reserved immediately and delivery dates arranged to satisfy each customer.

“We’ve come up with a winning formula for consumers in Chase,” says Mr. Long, “by combining the national resources of Sears with the local service of your neighbour –- truly the best of both worlds in terms of customer service… We are personally committed to accommodating our customers’ wants and needs and providing them with an enjoyable and satisfying shopping experience.”

To celebrate the opening of the new store, Mr. Long presented a $500 cheque from the ‘Sears in Your Community’ program to the store’s local charitable partner, Chase Secondary School Parent Advisory Council. The purpose of the ‘Sears in Your Community’ program is to provide support to children and youth in communities across Canada under the umbrella of two worthy causes –- children’s cancer charities and after-school programming.

You are invited to visit the new Hometown store at 709 Shuswap Avenue from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
