Shuswap coffee houses — a warm mug, friends, entertainment

Coffee

Coffee houses, once popular in the sixties, seem to be making a come-back. (Photo by Andreas Praefcke / Wikimedia Commons)

Do the winter blues have you and your family suffering from cabin fever? Want to wrap you hands around a steaming mug of coffee or maybe hot chocolate and enjoy some great entertainment? Well look no farther than your own local coffee house for the Shuswap’s best talent plus great company along with that hot cuppa’. Why, a fabulous evening is practically in your own backyard!

A coffee house is an event, usually in a coffee shop but not always, usually in the evening, and people come to drink coffee and be entertained. Often the entertainer is a musician or a writer who will read his or her poetry or prose. It is rather like a pub atmosphere without the liquor, and lots of people come because they like the music or the coffee or the company.

Here are some of the coffee houses in and around the Shuswap.
